I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant yesterday! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portion sizes that left us more than satisfied. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, and the service was impressively quick – we didn’t have to wait long for our food at all. Sitting out on the patio added a lovely touch to the meal. The paneer dish, in particular, was my favorite and truly stood out. I’ll definitely be going back and highly recommend this spot!

This fusion style food is delicious. Big servings, great flavour. I place on Roncy worth trying out. Friendly and fast service (and our server had only worked there for two days)

My partner and I were eager to have a meal at Roncesvalles neighbourhood’s new Hakka restaurant, Hakka Wok Hei. There are many good things that can be said and I’ll start with that; the food, it’s delicious. They also serve generous portions by a very kind and charming wait staff. We enjoyed their Vegetable Pakoras to start, which we followed with Hakka Fried Rice, Chilli Chicken and Spicy Green Beans. All were cooked to perfection. That location has had many restaurants. None lasted long because of the layout. The layout’s problem is magnified by the fact that they seem to depend on take out and delivery, not sit down dining. The result is that the few diners, like us, are forced to listen to a stream of delivery guys chatting and waiting for their orders. This is above the loud rock and roll coming from the kitchen. Did I mention the sterility of the place? So all in all it’s not a pleasant dining experience. Next time we plan on ordering in because we really like the food.

An amazing place for Hakka noodles and food. At first, I felt a little skeptical to order from this place as there weren’t many reviews and it seemed like it was a newer restaurant. Nonetheless, decided to go ahead and try it out. We ordered through the Uber eats app which sometimes doesn’t have the whole menu of what is shown on the restaurant’s website. We decided to get the chicken Manchurian, The Hakka chow mein noodles, The crispy ginger beef, the egg fried rice and lastly, the corn soup came for free because we ordered over a certain dollar amount. The Hakka chow mein noodles were my favourite and I would 100% get them again. Beware - they are really spicy and if you like spicy, this is definitely the dish to get. The only reason why I love this dish so much was because of the spice levels which added a lot of flavour. The chicken manchurian and the crispy ginger beef definitely complimented the noodles really well. Each of those dishes had their own flavourful taste and would definitely recommend getting them again. I saw a lot of people raving about the chicken corn soup and and now I understand why it was so highly talked about. I could definitely see myself ordering it especially when I’m sick. What made it even better was getting it for free because my bill was over a certain amount. I will definitely order from this restaurant again and I highly recommend everyone to order takeout from this place and give them a try.

Fancy hipster joint it is not. Chinatown and little Indian meet in Roncesvalles? Yes. Amazing food. Very reasonable prices. Service was good. You can tell they are newly opened and it’s got that family run vibe. (Ie not smooth slick wait staff. But they are trying hard!) Menu didn’t have photos so we asked a lot of questions and our waitress was patience and knowledgeable. We were worried the food would be slow but it came very quickly. Hot and yummy. Give them a try! So happy there is a Chinese option with authentic chinatown flavour. (And Chinatown decor lol. ) We got the Hakka noodles with chicken and salt and pepper shrimp. More than enough the two of us and we had some leftover to take home. Definitely our go to now for a Chinese food fix.

I always walk past this place and have wanted to try it for the longest time. I'm glad I did, amazing service, loved their version of Hot and sour soup and really enjoyed my dish I got... Definitely. Will be going back soon.

This place is amazing! The sub-4 star rating also made me hesitate but I'm glad I went. I got the special for 1 which included chili chicken, rice (I upgraded to fried rice), spring roll and soup (not pictured here). Food came out fast and piping hot and tasted fresh. Generous portions too. Some of the best chili chicken I've had in a long time. Server was also very nice and attentive. Not sure if it counts as a hidden gem if it's on Roncy but I do think more people should be talking about it! Will definitely be back!
